He spoke in Memphis today. He apologized for voting against the Martin Luther King national holiday back how many years ago.
Skip forward to about 1:30. The crowd starts booing and he keeps repeating "I was wrong" in his sickly little voice.

Yeah, that was the clip I saw on television that reminded me of his little tumor body.
The clip I saw on CNN was from a different angle. The umbrellas were to prevent history from repeating itself?
I love how the establishment pretends to respect and admire Martin Luther King, when someone from it probably put him down on that slab. The press never mentions that the FBI had his hotel room bugged or that the FBI had been threatening him and that it has been disclosed that the FBI made threatening phone calls to Dr. King telling him to kill himself or that they would do it for him.
The media loves the "I Have A Dream" speech, because that was the speech he edited at the behest of the terrified establishment, saying that it would create an atmosphere of "intimidation" in Congress. He did their bidding (and was criticized by the more revolutionary, incendiary Malcolm X): they altered the march route, picked what placards could be carried and passed over his speech (the "dream" bit was brilliant improv not written in advance). For this he was betrayed by the government and again nothing changed. Eighteen days later those 4 Little Girls were exploded on the steps of 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham.
King was tolerated until 1968 when he began to do precisely what he was warned not to do in Washington: combine the class struggle, race and the war in Vietnam as inextricably connected crises that affected all Americans. I have a feeling that his is why he was finally "put down" in Memphis. He was assassinated before he could march on Washington again with broader revolutionary message not dissimilar from that of X. What MLK proposed was no idle threat: it would be the combined front/unity of every facet of societal upheaval that would imperil the following Nixon Administration, which was unsure that it could continue to expand the Vietnam War while fighting a second front on American soil; he actually needed more troops in order to quell civil unrest stateside.
The Santa Clausification of Dr. King
Quote
West: I mean, I think it's very important because you see a lot of chit-chat about Martin every year and Martin has been so domesticated and tamed and defamed, you know, what we call the Santa Clausification of the brother.
Tavis: Wait a minute. Hold the phone, hold the phone. The Santa Clausification of Dr. King, which means what, Dr. West?
West: He just becomes a nice little old man with a smile with toys in his bag, not a threat to anybody, as if his fundamental commitment to unconditional love and unarmed truth does not bring to bear certain kinds of pressure to a status quo. So the status quo feels so comfortable as though it's a convenient thing to do rather than acknowledge him as to what he was, what the FBI said, "The most dangerous man in America." Why? Because of his fundamental commitment to love and to justice and trying to keep track of the humanity of each and every one of us.

UCLA was supposed to have the best perimeter defense of anyone in the Final Four...and they couldn't keep Memphis from penetrating to the basket. Derrick Rose exposed Collison and Westbrook. He took money out of their pockets.
If UCLA can't stop them, I don't think Kansas and Carolina can either. Everybody better look the hell out.

Eh, it reminds me too much of That ol' Time a-Rock n' Roll.
But Memphis made it to the championship game. When I was watching, Kansas sure seemed pretty friggin' mighty. The Tigers will have to play better if they're gonna stand a chance. They didn't convert on several what should have been easy baskets. Still, anything can happen. Go Tigers! Y'know, that's my alma mater.
