Trying to stay awake in Bucuresti, so as to help reset my internal clock to beat jet lag.

M______'s father has been laid to rest here at Hazsongard, one of the most famous, lovely cemteries in Romania. We buried him in the family plot, a single space packed right up against 4 others without spacing which he will share with several generations of family sharing the same tombstone.

Here is a photo of Hazsongard. The way this photo has been taken/processed, it looks very old, but I actually just grabbed it on Flickr. This is what the cemetery looks like today. My father-in-law's body was carried from the chapel in probably this same horse-drawn carriage.

It's really a strange and beautiful place. Here are some of the more famous graves.

We are okay. Just arrived here via train from Cluj and we're headed home in four hours via a couple of planes. Thanks for all of the kind words.

It's kind of nice to just hang out online and shoot the shit, even if we're not home yet.
