another viewpoint that won't make the nightly news

although i don't think it will matter, as obama's #s are almost back up to where they were pre-rev wright madness.  i don't think it's gonna be an issue at all by november. (i'm sure foxnews won't relent, but anybody who believes a word that comes out of sean hannity's mouth wasn't gonna vote for any democrat anyway)

The real story no one is covering is that the Wright mess revealed that Barack Obama is a superstitious church-goer who believes in the supernatural manifestations of invisible beings which speak through magical symbols, signs and their divine earthly representatives.

Yes, just like the vast majority of USians.  An atheist is pretty much unelectable as potus, so we're stuck with the Jeebus lovers.  As long as they're not raving creationist lunatics who want to undermine church/state separation...

He probably just did it for political necessity.

OMG! Just listening again to The Rebel (country teasers) live on WFMU ...with The Rebel as pointed satirical criticism of cockeyed xenophobia and neofascism, the fantasy of Wallers covering Siouxsie and the Banshees' Arabian Nights had already occurred to me...but I didn't see it coming.

[The disc jockey observes that before throwing in the Siouxise cover, the Rebel was sounding like Public Image Ltd...however, John McGeoch (Siouxsie's greatest guitarist, responsible for shaping their sound on the albums which originally drew me in: Kaleidoscope/JuJu) was a PIL guitarist]
