"Television Eyes" is the songs of their's that I love to practice on the drums. Well, the first part, anyway, I can't very well play the cymbals flourishes (though my split chinese crash sounds similar to whatever he is playing here) without accompaniment. My drum set is an absolute write off now....I have decided this. I have to beat the hell out of my drumset to get even the pitiful sound that I just manage...this requires Jeremy to play at full volume and we have killed amp after amp...the snares on my snare drum are hardly in place because I lost the screws (they are on order) and I keep them in place with duct tape (aka Jamming Tape) - my toms simply sound like those cheap drummer boy toy drums you can find in dollar stores...my beater on the bass drum is worn to the plys of paper - the ride sounds like a garbage lid...(I pray that I get that job/call  mind atom knock on wood)

Trans Am started as a Jan Hammer parody, so the shitty keyboards are part of the aesthetic.  I know for a fact that they only use preset stock sounds, for instance.

Pop superstar Justin Timberlake has donated $200,000 to organisations in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. The kind-hearted hitmaker proved he hadn't forgotten about his roots last Thursday, when he presented the Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum with a $100,000 check and donated another $100,000 to the Memphis Music Foundation. He says, "Music education and keeping the legacy of Memphis Music alive has always been important to me. That is why I will always continue to support my hometown the same way they have always supported me." And his big money contributions didn't go unappreciated by the projects' leaders. John Doyle, the executive director of Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum, says, "Justin Timberlake has never deserted Memphis, Tennessee. He has never stopped giving back to the community, to the local music industry, and to young people." The money will help to fund efforts to improve music education for local students.

yeah,  he's not from Memphis.. He's from Millington.  He keeps saying he's from Memphis because it sounds cooler.

Rather the opposite of what I am doing. I pass the default, "I am from Montreal" or "I live on the Island of Montreal" for Pointe-Claire, in hopes of elevating its status.
