anybody see THIS story yesterday? the bespectacled agitator is my good friend ryane ziemba.  his older brother thoryn is one of my best friends. kimmy will remember him as the dude who lives in cookeville.  his other brother, rhys, works with me at the museum.  he's the front desk guy.  his family's freaking out because he has asthma and the cops aren't treating him. apparently the jail was confronted this morning with hundreds of people protesting his arrest.

If they were going for publicity I guess they got it.  I don't think they're really helping the peace movement though..
War protesters need to remove art-faggotry from their demonstrations. I've been saying that for 18 years now.

i'm not the biggest fan of the dramatic protests, so i tend to agree with you about the "art-faggotry".  BUT, if it starts a discussion, which apparently it did judging by the bishops remarks, then fine.

also, yeah, matthew.  i think "selfish" would be the wrong word to describe their "act".  "tacky and innappropriate" maybe, maybe not.  that can be debated.  but selfish?  dude just gave up his "freedom".  hardly selfish.
