Happy Easter. Or I hope y'all's is, anyway. Our hot water heater died last night and flooded our basement.

God has punished you for your sins.

'Cause, you know, god sees and knows all, and he has nothing better to do.

Oh, suckage, Jeff.  Sad  Sad

I've spent the day getting drunk with my friend Sue (road trip girlie) for her birthday. Sue's born, Christ rises, we drink all afternoon... Happy Easter, indeed.

Today was all about the suck. That is, it was all about using a rug cleaner to suck water out of my downstairs carpet.

We had a nice dinner with the neighbors though. We met the girl next door's future in-laws, who are Russian and they told us the long, strange story of how they came from Odessa to NYC in 1980, via Czechoslovakia, Vienna, and Rome, and taking three months. The trip, not the story.

I awoke from my nap to re-drunk myself with scotch.

True story.

Last night was pre-game at the Ottawa team/band's hotel room, game at the hootenanny (which I was sooooooo not going to go to), and post-game back at the hotel, where booze and recreational drugs were flowing. Home at 5am... Obviously, I had to do the aforementioned boozy brunch.

got a report from Jared about the shangrila show.  he said their set was sloppy fun and he hinted that there may be a couple more simps shows. believe me, i'm working on it being with dragoon.
of the new mary jane set he said the only grifters song they played was Banjo. they did 7 songs (?) And he said they'd worked out some of the kinks..
he said antenna shoes are so good they should be performing on conan obrien. and that lucero's crowd sings along with every single song. so much so that the singer didn't really need  to be miked.  But all around a fun night.

I feel like I've made more than enough withdrawals from the PMA account lately.

I'll settle for a humorously captioned photo of a cat, if you've got one.
