In the Valley of Elah's the best thing you've seen?  What the hell have you been watching?

Shades of Gray was, I guess, filler for the writer's strike.  You can now say you've seen the worst Star Trek episode ever.

I have been watching shit. I have been in a shit-watching mood, though.

I watched Virus and I Robot yesterday. My cerebral cortex collapsed about 3 minutes into Virus.

Speaking of gray matter, the silver lining of Shades was no more Dr. Pulaski.

I rewatched The Office after picking up the full series/specials set on ebay.

I could watch it forever.

...

um...

...

DELIVER US FROM EVIL was the best film I have seen recently.

Valley of Elah is one of those movies I would probably never have seen if my mother hadn't rented it.

It was better than Michael Clayton and Rendition. <<shudder>>

I guess I have been watching mostly STNG...or I simply cannot think of what movies I have seen recently.

our local video store is selling , like, all it's movies.  So I bought Star Trek the Motion Picture, Wrath of Khan, Search for Spock,  Generations, & Revenge of the Sith and Breakin 2:Electric Boogaloo!!

all for 50 bucks!

I'm watching ST:TMP right now.  I think I'm one of the few Trekkies who likes this movie.

yeah, it's slow but it's cerebral..  And it's FILM.  I dunno.. It ain't bad but you have to be in the right mood.

And the FX are pretty good. Plus the grey costumes makes it feel like  Forbidden Planet.  And it's ROBERT WISE!  COME ON!  And Kubrickisms abound. I have to say, visually, it's the tastiest of the whole series of movies.

I keep thinking someone's gonna do a "low-budget" sci-fi movie using models and other 70's fare..  Creative matte painting..

Absolutely! I truly love the film. It was watching that again that turned me back to watching the rest of the films a couple of years ago and then opening up more to the episodes when I came across them on television.

I believe I would rank them as such (by enjoyability in some cases)

The Motion Picture
The Undiscovered Country
The Voyage Home
The Wrath of Khan
The Search for Spock
First Contact
Insurrection
Generations
The Final Frontier
Nemesis
