I should be thinking of the job tomorrow.

(Been a while since I bothered thinking about the "next day" aftereffects at work.)

But I only have to pull off two days of work before I have off until NEXT week. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!

there must be more than one band called the black lips out there.  a friend of mine gave me a cd to burn a couple years ago and its awesome.  super fuzzed out 60'sesque garage psyche reminiscent of the sonics or even the troggs with much bigger balls.  and a girl is singing on one song. i recommended it to moetown once and then checked to see if they had a myspace page.  the only black lips i could find was the psychedelic comedy thing you're talking about, which ever since, i haven't stopped seeing them written up everywhere.  no way it's the same band unless they've done some major overhaul of their entire sound/schtick.   not that the "comedy" black lips are bad, it's just not what i would have recommended to moetown. I have no idea which band is playing Emo's. I just did a quick "Black Lips" search and the first result had the comedy tag. I just ignored it and figured that wasn't "it." Damn.

i can't find anything anywhere about the black lips i'm talking about.  glad i got it on the ipods. it's good suff.  as much publicity as the comedy version has been getting, it's gotta be a good show, no?

on second thought, that's not necessarily so.  parchance.
