Watched "Across The Universe" last night.  It was gay.  The up and down adventures of a young boy from Liverpool named Jude who falls in with an American girl named Lucy, who's brother is Max(well).  They all live with sexy Joplinesque singer, Sadie, and their closeted gay Asian friend, Prudence.  Max goes to the war, Jude becomes a painter, Lucy becomes radicalized, dear Prudence comes out and takes a lover.  Bono stops by as Ken Kesey on his bus, going to visit Dr. Geary(!) at his upstate estate, home of the League of Spiritual Development.  Eddie Izzard plays Mr. Kite!  Jude smashes strawberries!  Max does opiates!  Then the whole thing climaxes with a roof top show at Sadie's record company building (Strawberry Jams) and the police try to shut them down.  Oh, and the boy gets the girl in the end.  Sorry!

man I was watching CSPAN last night...coverage of the Clemons testimony.

Fascinating stuff.

Most fascinating is why the fuck our government gives a shit if some jock had somebody shoot his ass up with some steroids, when there's a whole slew of important shit our government should be taking care of.

What's next, government investigating guys taping football coaches calling plays?
