Awesome. Is C_____ among these fine folks?

No.  She's not in any of the pictures on the website...except the ones from a great distance.

The front page online only shows the orchestra from a distance as well. Maybe there are better pics within the Arts section.

Impressive internet skillz, Jeff.

I just talked to C______.  Apparently there's a pic of her inside...but I guess even that's not too close.

My friend had me excited over not too much apparently.

You just go to Newseum and they log a copy of front pages from around the world. They keep them archived for days where major events happen. The 9/11 archive really takes you back.

No, but a few of the percussionists did spontaneously combust.

OMG!  A friend just called and said that C_______ is on the cover of the Akron newspaper today!  I haven't seen it yet.

Here's the article from online.  Akron Symphony hits the big leagues

Quote
Saturday night, the orchestra and its chorus received a standing ovation at E.J. Thomas Hall, playing the Mahler Symphony No. 2. But players and conductors alike fight the dry acoustics at Thomas Hall.

The first sounds that the orchestra made at Severance were a huge contrast. The low strings sounded like plush velvet, and the winds projected deep into the hall. The violins had a new radiance.

After rehearsing a few minutes, Zander put down his baton to stop the orchestra.

''You know what I think — no wonder the Cleveland Orchestra sounds so good,'' he joked, adding, ''It's none of my business, but I think you should play here all the time.''

That's amazing, Kurt!
