There was a freak snowstorm here last night.
Roomie's work party was pretty low-key. The idea was to use up all the "extra" petty cash from the previous fiscal year, so started with pizza/booze-fest at a local bar. But there was still so much $$$ left over that we needed to make some phone calls to keep the party going, you know? That's right. The roomie's boss basically paid for a bunch of his employees (and one hanger on) to get really fucked up.
That still makes me laugh.

at 7:30am, I wasn't thinking about how I promised a friend I'd go to another friend's opera production tonight, but yep. Feeling like shit, and off I go into the world again to see opera. Well, at least it's happening in a bar.

Yesterday Ned the cat got his ass bit by a dog. Pretty gruesome looking but he's ok. had to take him to the Animal emergency Clinic. Good times. They gave him one of those satellite dish collars which he was able to free himself from without too much effort.

saturday night i was walking from this club to my car to get something. i had to park a block or so away. walked past this little convenience store. 2 absolute white trash mother fuckers are getting high behind the dumpster, and as i go past them, their fucking rotweiler comes at me from the other side. i sucked my nuts up into my throat. they pulled the dog back and i went on my way. it could just as easily been an ugly little scene. |
