Holmes will probably happen since that one is pretty much mine music-wise.
X-Ray I'm not sure about. Thats totally Dave's which I know isn't really a concern
since it's 'karaoke' but I'm trying to pick stuff that won't tax Bobby too much.
If Bobby's up to the challenge then we'll see.
right now I'd say we have
Holmes
Wreck
Static
Maps
Contact Me
Passing Out (maybe)
....
we could probably pull off Soda Pop
Quote from: Tripp on March 18, 2008, 04:32:38 PM
we could also probably do Covered With Flies.
We'll see about Banjo. I'll ask Bobby what he thinks.
Any chance of doing "Bronze Cast"? That'd probably my first choice before "Maps of the Sun" if it's possible.

I'd sure love to hear Eric sing "spread you out like a dead bat." I haven't heard many of your voices, but I don't think any crappiteer could do it better.

Important c_________k question: Pat, can I purchase Tito's Vodka anywhere in Pensacola?
most of the liquor stores.
Cool. It was a serious question. That glorious liquid ain't avail everywhere, I found.

updates...
heard from miche... most likely a "no" unless an unlocked, unguarded armoured car full of millions lands in his yard. but he's keeping the door open.
heard from trey... pretty much the same scenario as above. his drummer is in the process of opening a bar (possible site for future crappitystocks? they have a laundromat, which will help with tripp's costume changes!!
) and can't commit to traveling, plus trey's new shop is keeping him too busy as well. he is also keeping the door open, though
soooo, send lots of pma's eric's way so he can find a way to get jimmy to emerge from his cocaine hangover in time to make a cameo at dragoon's show. where he may take all necessary action to fall into an even more dibilitating hangover.
i have talked to a few local bands about playing. mainly to draw additional local support. oh archipelago, you win instantly! (actually, they change their name every time they play-but are pretty brilliant) and rymodee of thisbikeisapipebomb have all expressed interest in being on the bill. as far as promotion, i do plan on using the grifters/trusty connections to their maximum potential, and there is already a little buzz about. grifters were a pretty big deal around here, as was the whole dischord label for a while. several friends are pretty excited about the karaoke thing also. but some of the younger kids that frequent the sluggo's are gonna be more apt to show up if there's some local bands on board. and the more people show up, the more loot i can give dragoon (and anyone else whose door is still open)

also, as far as weekend plans...
for those arriving friday.... i figger friday night we'll just barhop for a while until we're drunk enough to stay put. saturday options: beach? blackwater river tubing/canoe trip? (coolers full of beer are welcome, lots of fun, weather should be perfect) bbq? or we can all freelance, and meet up somewhere before the show... sunday options: same as above for those sticking around for mudhoney.
whadday'all think?

I'm not really a beach-goin' kind of gal. But I am a cooler-full-of-beers kind of gal. If I have some of that, I would totally do the other.
