OK

So what is the exact date of Crappitystock?

Cause I want to maybe set up a mini tour around it.

maybe a birmingham-pensacola-............... that's probably enough for a weekend.

pat? Your thoughts?

what's the best spot to play halfway between  here and there? Birmingham is what sprung to mind.

i think the weekend of june 13-14-15 will work great (from our end).  also remember mudhoney is playing the 15th (sunday)  which will be a treat for all and i can probably get the crappiteers in for free, if not at a discount.  the issue with that is that ashley and terry (the sluggos powers that be) do not think the sunday afternoon bbq/show is feasable with a big show sunday night (w/ sound checks, wanting to keep the doors closed until a certain time, etc etc) SO we can either do a friday/saturday fest (which may be an issue with alot of y'all having to take off work early, OR just do it all on saturday, and not put so much focus on the "shows" and more focus on the crappity summit at hand.  and hang out all weekend a lot more leisurely.  which i kind of like the idea of, although i want to squeeze as much rock out of you guys as possible)

we're getting close here, so IS EVERYBODY IN FOR THAT DATE?  i need to know so i can reserve those dates on the sluggo's calendar.

as far as tour stops along the way,  birmingham is a great rock'n'roll town, for alabama. the nick is a pretty cool spot to play, although they tend to have a bit of redneckish patronage. i've witnessed some fights in that place in situations where the music being played is more conducive to good times all around (the woggles comes to mind)  the other best option would be the bottletree, which is just up the street.  been in there a couple times. cool space, and good words from bands who have played there, as far as the way the bookings/guarantees are handled. i would also look into the thirsty hippo in hattiesburg, ms.  another cool little space, plus it's a college town so the kids are always out.  saw an extraordinary performance from the bonny billy/matt sweeney contingent a few years back and would totally recommend it.
stay away from jackson and mobile.  nothin but assholes in those towns.

I should fly into Memphis, too, and get in on the crunk.

Ok, but if I fly directly into FLA, what the hell's the nearest airport?

ok. i know p'cola ain't exactly chicago o'hare, BUT we have a frickin airport.  you'll have to stop in atlanta.
with that being said,  I would totally encourage the fly to memphis route, if you can get on the yes & know caravan. the drive from mempho to p'cola(with the crappity constituent=total crunkness) would offset any other inconvenience of flight patterns. i have the utmost faith in bamah's roadtrip host-ability.  i am actually envious of you, if you are traveling with said thesbian)

Plus, I do love the idea of spending more time in the Mempho airport.
