The Buh is watching you......

« on: October 20, 2007, 03:21:04 PM »

This article is from the Commercial Appeal and deals with an AMAZING rescue group, Good Dog Rescue. This is where my The Buh came from. I also foster dogs for this group because they are so great. Memphis Animal Services are HORRIBLE and are making it very difficult for regular people and rescue groups to adopt shelter dogs. I have contacted various local media, Memphis City Council Members, the ASPCA and Humane Society about this. Anything you could do to help would be much appreciated. The more people that respond the better chance Good Dog Rescue has at getting it's Pet Placement Partnership back with Memphis Animal Services.

I am deeply concerned over Memphis Animal Services decision to take the Pet Placement Partners status away from Good Dog Rescue. Good Dog Rescue is one of the most dedicated animal placement groups that I have ever dealt with.

I adopted my beloved dog, Max, three years ago from this group. If it weren't for Good Dog Rescue pulling him from Memphis Animal Services he would have been put down in a matter of days.......or less. Max has given me so much joy and I cannot imagine my life without him.

I have tremendous respect for Lisa Trenthem, additionally I have also seen the amazing work she has done with and for these animals. I have personally seen dogs adopted from MAS that were transformed by Good Dog Rescue. Animals that were timid, scared and lonely have changed into outgoing confident dogs. They have been given a second chance at life because of this amazing group. These dogs have received incredible care and love. Lisa and the other volunteers of this group work tirelessly to help these dogs find the right homes.

I implore MAS to rethink this decision. Memphis Animal Service is depriving a top notch group from finding loving, caring FOREVER HOMES for stray and owner surrender animals. Please reconsider this action against Good Dog Rescue. If this can happen to one rescue group then it can happen to many many more.

Very eloquent.  Well done, Kimmy G!

Last night my dog grabbed the book I was reading off the table and chewed it to pieces. Today I will slice her open and burn the cute little puppy's entrails.

I am hating the puppy and want no more to do with puppies for the rest of my life. I'm sure this feeling will pass in a few minutes. I'm just venting. God damned fuckin' dog. Why couldn't she have chewed up S_ _ _'s book?

OK, I've counted to 10 about 1000 times, so I'm starting to feel a little better. That was a really interseting book. Who Wrote The Bible? by Richard E. Friedman. Now I may never find out, unless i fork over more money and buy another copy. Jesus Christ on a pinwheel!

Silly Moetown!  The Lord God wrote the bible.  You're welcome.  Maybe you could donate that book money to your favorite non-denominational christian fellowship?  I'm sure Texas has a few of those around.  Oh, and by the way, you should know dogs are emissaries sent down to Earth by our galactic overlords to test our behavior in response to sentient, non-human life forms.  So be careful with that pup-pup!
