In case you missed my earlier appeal, please take a sec and vote for my friend Brenda, who is on the verge of winning twenty thousand dollars from Apartments.com. There's a contest in which people submit short videos detailing their collecting obsessions. As of this moment, Brenda's way-cool collection of pinup art is trailing behind an insane dumpster-diving girl's apartment full of junk.

Please help.

http://possessionobsession.apartments.com/

If you've already voted, please vote again. You can vote once a day between now and October 19th.

I know I haven't posted much here lately and I hate to bug you with 'net contests and whatnot, but chrissakes, twenty thousand dollars.

Please vote pinup over hobo.

Thank you.

Heya, Jeff!

I think we should be able to get her into the winners circle.  She's only 8 behind now.

down to 2!

close the gap and I am pretty sure she will win. I would not be surprised if people are voting for the first one they see, as the views/votes ratio is so much higher for "morph"s house of useless shit.

on the bright side...i do have a pipe full of resin that can be cooked up to produce a fine buzz.

Resinator to the Rescue!

Plus I still have mini keg of Heniken left in the fridge that after I do some online job hunting I'm going to hit.

Heinken Daze

And like that Autumn shall commence.

This is the nicest, most optimistic post I've read here in a while.  Well done, BF.  Good luck job hunting!

I am waiting for the soft-cover, but this is a pretty awesome team up.

The book's getting a lot of press ('specially in TO, natch). I, too, am waiting for the soft-cover. But that film? OMG. Real eye-opening stuff.

Avi Lewis (Naomi's hubby) interviewed me a few years ago to work with her, but I didn't have enough film distribution experience (this was when their first movie, The Take, was coming out). I think she'd be both a difficult, and totally compelling, boss.

I'm very hunged-over. Went to a wrap party last night for some new Greg Kinnear movie. There were no celebs there, just (spits) crew.

Wink

It was fun, but I fell into another booze hole. Oops.

We're getting take-out Indian food for dinner. That'll fix me!

hey matt!!  remember the question involving the neil young archives performance series  (fillmore listed as NYA #2 and massey hall as NYA #3-  where is NYA #1??)  the answer is here.  from neilyoung.com

**********************************************

CHROME DREAMS II "RIVERBOAT" PREVIEWS
NY Times, August 27, 2007
Chrome Dreams II will feature several Riverboat previews as bonus CDs at selected retail outlets. Each outlet will have a different track. "The Riverboat" is disc 1 of the NYA Performance Series and is included in the Archives Volume 1 release scheduled for early 2008. When the Archives Volume 1 is released, The NYA Performance series will total three released discs including "Crazy Horse at the Fillmore East", "Massey Hall", and "The Riverboat."
"The Riverboat" was a coffee house on Yorkville Avenue in Toronto where NY played soon after the break-up of the Buffalo Springfield. It is one NY's earliest known live recordings.

***********************************************

apparantly the NYA performance series is numbered chronologically as recorded, not date of release.  he must have wanted to hold this back for the box set for whatever reason.  anyways,  there you go..

As much as I detest Rudy Giuliani, there are zero grounds for the accusation that he has exploited the attacks of September 11th, 2001 for his own political gain.
