Is there usually partisanism desplayed during State of Union addresses? I don't mean by the President, because that is obviously inherent, I mean by Congress and the opposing party? Because when Bush mentioned that the Patriot Act was due to expire, people interrupted and applauded...I found that hilarious, but am unclear as to whether that was a statement or just someone jumping the gun...it seemed more like the former...

I hope it was.

yeah, I don't think I've ever seen a State of the Union Address in which they showed so many disgruntled people sitting around. I especially loved Hilary Clinton's lackluster applause.  And it looked like Rangel was passed out.

I think Ted Kennedy shook his head for the entire duration .

I have to add that I thought TK kinda looks like a big metled marshmallow.

yeah but what about that dreamy Tom Brady from the superbowl bound Patriots.

and what about the skills of that 2 year old who wrote bush that letter.

i was listening to the imus show on the way to work and they had some republican senator going on about how "unelected judges" are now changing the marriage laws from state to state....and how could this be, since they're not elected officals.

I so wanted Imus to say "hey, isn't that how you guys got the presidecny..unelected judges"

yeah, way to keep up with the times, Bush, with your stern warning about the use of steroids! That's a subject everyone's torn up about.

I couldn't watch the whole thing.  It all seems so orchestrated and transparent - it just started bringing me down. Luckily, there was lots of good basketball last night to cheer me up.

when will our government address 'roid rage?  and can't the republicans do something to decrease the number of tanning salons and nail parlors?

ah, the power of books:

I didn't know you were powerfull...

didn't catch the state of the union, too busy mixing..

and moetown, how about those Grizzlies?  They beat Philly for the first time in many many years the other day and they're actually being talked about on sports center and shit...
They're definitely on they're way up, I predict they're going to the playoffs this year.  With Jerry and Hubie on our side we're actually looking like contenders all the sudden.  And now Bonzi Wells has joined and if you believe the rumors, none other than Kobe Bryant is coming.  I actually don't want that to happen because I hate him.  But everyone knows that he and Jerry are good buddies from way back.

oh yeah, and they beat philly without an actual point guard, Jason Williams was out of the game and Earl Watson fouled out.  So Mike Miller had to play point guard.

oh and they beat the Rockets too on monday
