Hey, I'm happy for Kerry but the Iowa Caucuses mean neither jack nor shit. It's so everybody can see how old people and blue collar workers and farmers will vote.  I feel sorry for Gephardt. Friggin EDWARDS beat him! How humiliating is that? Why is ANYONE voting for Edwards anyway? All he ever talks about is how is daddy was real poor.

i used to buy pot from a guy in Iowa. I didn't go out there and get it, he lived in NJ at the time. That's my only link to Iowa.

So i heard Dean gave an interesting speech...they were playing it on the radio with AC/DC's TNT  in the background.

The thing that scares me about Dean is that he is a doctor. He should be helping people. It seems politics is more about the power then actually helping. It's like at my job we have these doctors that start up these medical meeting companies. Most of them are real assholes...and you know they are only in it for the cash.

Well i'm talking crazy this morning cause i'm in a shitload of pain. I woke up and ripped something in my upper back...it's f-ing killig me...if i didn't call in sick friday i would have today. Motrin is doing nothing...i need some hardcored meds...Canada help me! Rush help me!

Whats up with Dean giving that MTV TRL style "woooo!" at the end of his speech?   If he's not careful, his base of support is going to reside in an age demo that can't vote.

..

oh, and mornin' yall!  I had the day off yesterday, and I realized its much easier to explain Santa Claus to a toddler than MLKjr.

true dat, cappy.

when i saw dean on c-span last night running through the names of the states where he's headed next, i kept thinking he was going to start shouting "The Dean Explosion!  The Dean Explosion!"  and "Howard Dean is #1!" and then drop to his knees and kick oot the theremin scree.

i had a premonition aboot kerry "winning" yesterday and dean "losing" when we were headed home from the grocery store.  a young kid in a jetta with a DEAN bumper sticker was behind me pulling oot of the lot, and he passed me on the right as soon as we both made the left turn and then he shot through a red light beside me as i stopped and sped on towards the next red light in the left lane but then he realized he needed to turn right at that light so he cut across two lanes of traffic in front of several other cars in order to make his turn.  right then i said to shelley that i would definitely not be voting for dean and i would support kerry.

the end.

I realized he was bad, but that's pretty bad.

it wasn't really a whoooo it was more of a  yaaaaahhhh!

he needs to follow that with a big "ONE TWO THREE FOUR!!"
and then the band busts into "My Way or the Highway"

so, I think I'm gonna do it...
I know this is a geek topic, but I'm trying to decide I'm gonna get a kick drum mic
two of them actually.  One is for my kick drum and the other is for Tripp's bass cabinet.
anybody know why this mic ($50) is so much cheaper than this mic ($199), and yet their spec sheets are quite similar....
I know that the latter is a classic and considered the industry standard, but is it possible that this little American company is making a comparable product to the well respected German company's product at a quarter of the price.

the AKG mic costs what it does because it is a legend, joey.  audio folks feel comfortable with having what the other guys have and not standing out.  it might be a better mic for studio use than the KaBooM, but then again it might not be.  i assume you want to use it both for recording and live devastational purposes, right?  so why blow all that extra cash just for the name and the turquoise rubber bumper?  get the KBM.

do it.

kick it.

i think that might be a GBV song title.
