better than pretty much all teen comedies out there. Some really funny bits. a few gut-busters.
Not enough Michael Cera for me. For the most part he's just reacting to Jonah Hill who is yelling at everyone the whole movie.
They do the patented Apatow approach of avoiding the cliched reactions BUT I actually thought they needed just a little bit more zaniness.
I didn't LOVE McLovin nearly as much as the movie seemed to.

I wanna know when Martin Starr is gonna get to actually do something again. If you blinked you wouldn't even notice him in the movie. Though there are many Apatow alums who I was happy to see. Kevin Corrigan and the girl who played Lizzie from Undeclared and David Krumholzt were all quite funny.

I give it three stars.

here's a tree stump in our backyard that would make a killer bowl...if you had that much jib to fill it.

pretending...here it is filled...you just need a welders torch to fire it up.

You could practically put your whole face in the side opening...and just inhale.

the crazy thing is a few weeks ago I was pulling some dead flowers out of that (I had planted some into the stump thinking they would grow...they didn't) and this big old spider came out with a vengence...running all over the stump...so then I started poking a stick into the stump hole to see if there was any other spiders (why, I don't know...it just seemed like the thing to do at the time)...and all of a sudden this frog is jumping around in it. So I took the frog out and let the kids play with it.

So when I'm setting up the picture I look and there's the frog in there again...buried in dirt, just hanging out.

CRAPPI-TEE CRAPPI-TAH

1st day back to work.  had a pile o shit to get caught up on.  finally got a little time to crappi-tize...   the whole trip was a blast, cept for the west virginia part.  don't go there.  i don't care how great john denver makes it sound.   many thanks to all memphis crappiteers who made saturday lots o fun.  great to meet y'all for reelz.  sorry that bammah couldn't make it to the late show, which was a merry engagement  although i must admit not remembering too much after we got back to tripp's..   lots of beer...THEN gin.  oops..  also, except for the previous nights lone beer, i had not had an adult beverage in 2 weeks.     chad and kimchee are super swell, and tripp and s____  deserve mad props for being patient enough to play memphost the entire time.  since we had no internets since we left memphis, it looks like i've got a few pages to browse here.   photos from memphis and the entire trip later.  once we get everything uploaded.....
