I am not deleting those 21 spambots today. I already got rid of 40 this week. It's irritating.

I had that same problem this morning...throws a wrench into trying to "score".

Seems to be working now though.

I had a lot of problems with spam when I had a yahoo account.

So far, no worries with gmail.

Except when you stupidly do a survey Matt posted using your real gmail address and get spammed up the ass and have to email your whole address book with new email info. Other than that, there's no spam problem w/ gmail.

It's a friend's birthday and I have no idea what to get him. (He makes a big deal out of birthdays and I don't, so of course I left this to the last minute.) Ideas?

He's the dude who took me to see The Pixies one year for my birthday, Television another year. Last year (for his 40th) we took him on a lovely -- expensive! -- harbour cruise, but this year, I am out of ideas.

Normally, I give books, but this guy works in publishing and already has a gazillion books he doesn't have time to read.

I can't get him new music by bands/artists he likes because he's a completist and probably downloaded anything new by now. I guess I could get him stuff I like. "Here, enjoy the new Okkervil River CD!" I guess I could get him that and tix for their upcoming show. And hope that he gets into them. Sigh.

He rarely watches TV. He collects comix (but I'm not making his pregnant girlfriend search through all his boxes to see what he does/doesn't have). He used to make art, but doesn't do much anymore.

I'm completely at a loss.

I've already had sex with him (years ago), so that's out too.

help?!!

so if there was hope that the republicans (particularly the bush/cheney beast) no longer had any excuse to keep troops in iraq, looks like they got it.  if the iranians suggest it, it must be a bad idea, right?  and no way we appear to bow to iranian pressure.

OMG, he totally drinks the stuff when we go out to one of our locals. I'm not sure if the liquor store near me even has it, but since I have to price it out for you anyway, Ev...
