And then wrap an old tire around him and set him on fire.

I would say that fans of evil grifters stuff would enjoy QOTSA stuff.

They don't do much for me.  I don't think they're particularly good at building and releasing tension, so I don't think they can survive a direct comparison with the Grifters.  To me, QOTSA songs all sounds kinda samey.

It's reminiscent of something I can't quite put my finger on.

AC/DC?

We could start a Real video network that only shows videos and does features on up n' coming video acts. In fact, we could only show vids from "popular" acts for 2 hours on Sunday starting at midnight.

Two words: fuck videos.  Videos interfere with the enjoyment of music.

Maybe I should put that up in the Crappity news.

Just so you know... Most music out of Quebec sounds like shit.  Like most music out of nearly everywhere, most of the time, eh?

hmp...

I know we've discussed Final Cut here before, but has anyone seen this before?  I haven't.    Kind of a Wall style mini-movie.  (sadly without Gerald Scarfe interludes)

<a href="http://lads.myspace.com/videos/myspacetv_vplayer0005.swf?m=168468&amp;type=video" target="_blank">http://lads.myspace.com/videos/myspacetv_vplayer0005.swf?m=168468&amp;type=video</a>

Yes.  That was released as a "Video EP" when the record came out.  The old soldier is sort of the same character as the teacher in "The Wall" proper.  It is definitely the same actor, Alex McAvoy.

Mmm hmm, I noticed that.  Poor choice.  Its hard to feel sorry for him.  I'm still so mad at how he ground his students into sausages.   I hold grudges like that.
