Sorry, that should've been "self-congratulatory Toronto...for brainfiber." Mea culpa.

We're totally outnumbered..

oh my god... do you think...

IT'S THE POLYPHONIC SPREE!!

No, I think that was the other day when there were 26 guests. Nine people could be almost any new indie band (a la Arcade Fire, etc.)

What explanation?  As far as I know, from the geological perspective, there's nothing particular about the English channel.  It used to be a land bridge back during the last ice age, and it is now a channel just because the water level went up as the glaciers melted.   To think that the history of the world could have been quite different if it wasn't for that small geological detail, eh?

Yeah, this one.

No, I had always heard both the idea of the "land bridge severed" and the "carved by glaciers" explanations, but this was the first time I heard of it explained by massive deluges.

Oh well, it's possible.  I don't know enough to judge.  I vaguely remember that something similar was proposed for the St-Lawrence valley.

Just checked my work email. This knucklehead (first-time writer) thinks we'll represent his crappy project? I get idiotic queries like this every fucking day.

I have a screenplay that absolutely must get to Hyde Park Entertainment and into the hands of Mr. Ashok Amritraj in Los Angeles California.

It is based on the classic video game series Street Fighter and must get to Hyde Park Entertainment because they have the rights to the series along with Capcom Inc. These two companies are going to make this film, but they will be making the wrong film because it is not this script.

The screenplay that I have registered with WGA in my name is the story that fans of the video game will love as well as all movie goers the world over.

It is quite simply the best video game to film adaptation ever written, and eventually ever made. It contains some of the most powerful and beautiful fight sequences that will have audiences in awe and go down in cinematic
history when filmed. The dialogue is witty and comical coming from colourful characters the audience can‚t help but love.

It is Chapter One to an epic and cult trilogy, but stands alone as its own film and story if those in power choose not to go through with Chapters Two and Three, though I have full confidence they will because of their scallopsential for cinematic art and all around ability to bring in an extremely
large profit.

The story is about a man‚s internal struggle to find himself after years of wandering and discovery of his sensei/foster father‚s unexpected murder, while at the same time a woman police officer hunts down the man who murdered her father before her very eyes 20 years previous. Fate crosses their paths, along with many other loveable characters, in Osaka Japan and deals them the same mysterious enemy.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this film will be a blockbuster hit and favorite for many years after its release. Please contact me if you are interested in reading this screenplay and representation of it from page to silver screen.

I sincerely thank you for your interest.

Yeah, the world really needs another movie based on a video game.   Roll Eyes

Interesting:

Franz Ferdinand/What Made Milwaukee Famous
AUSTIN CITY LIMITS presents an hour of world indie-rock. With intelligent, danceable pop-rock, the Scottish quartet Franz Ferdinand performs songs from their sophomore release, You Could Have It So Much Better, plus hits off their self-titled debut release. Montreal'sArcade Fire combines hooks, intensity and theatrics for a unique sound. The five-piece band performs songs from their critically acclaimed CD, Funeral.
