I keep hearing that Transformers is a pretty good time.
It better be, I believe I am being dragged to that tomorrow. When I would much rather go to Ratatouille or...well, that's all I can think of. Is Knocked Up still playing? I was never dragged to that, but I was supposed to. If I was to drag to something it would probably be Hairspray What's the point of that movie? It's a Japanese reissue. Matthew Gold!!!

I've been reading Holy Blood, Holy Grail. So far it's been one big holy so-what. I guess they spring the "shocking" stuff on the last few pages.
I'm reading that asswell. Lots and lots of detail about cathars, templars, Languedoc and so on...

I just came back from seeing this... Danny Boyle's/Alex Garland's latest. A psychological" sci-fi/adventure/thriller. It had some moments (great cinematography; some cool effects), but I never woulda gone to see it if it wasn't a freebie. The basic premise: 50 years in the future, the sun is dying and a team of astronauts are sent to follow up on a failed mission (7 years prior) to shoot a highly energized bomb into the sun to re-ignite it (you just can't argue with that kind of science!! haha!), thereby sacrificing themselves for the rest of humanity. That's where the psychological part comes in. Duh. It was one of those advance premiere thingies with director in attendance... except he wasn't. They stalled at the beginning because Boyle was still in Chicago -- they reckoned he'd get here in time for the Q&A at the end. He didn't. A bunch of us were standing outside afterwards when a limo-type car pulled up, and he got out, so we told him we really liked the movie, blah blah blah, and that people were waiting inside for him. I'd rather have talked to him about Trainspotting, but whaddya gonna do.
