A VERY productive weekend. Perhaps the most productive I've had in years.

So.. were you doing start-to-finish recordings? Or you going back for overdubbing/mixing?

We had planned on doing 2 songs Saturday, 2 songs Sunday then overdubs and mixing this next weekend.
But we ended up recording all 4 on saturday then we came in
Sunday morning and re-listened to everything and found that only one song was usable.
So we re-did the other three and started over-dubbing guitars and some bass.
This saturday we'll finishing overdubs and vocals then sunday we mix.
All in all I'm extremely pleased with what we got.
I'll post some pictures later.
How's the orchestra coming together? Any piccolo trumpet?

mmm... thought the orchestra was coming along well, but now I will feel totally incomplete without a piccolo trumpetist. (rushing to Craig's List)
Set up a local show for Jimmy on Friday. He's doing so many new songs (all about California) that I kinda figured he better test them out.

ready to record? I dunno. we've already designated some songs for the second record.
The first record will have either ten or eleven songs. Five of which are being done at Unclaimed Recordings and then another 5 or so that we've recorded ourselves and will possibly remix at Unclaimed.

hey y'all!! it is soooo great that it is monday! i missed you guys so much! MONDAY YEAH!!! positive thinking!!  i don't know about you guys, but that kinda worked for me. i had a pretty fun weekend. pretty lowkey except for friday when we were OFF THA CHAIN HAVIN' FUN!! we went gallery hoppin' and ended up seeing the warble play at my friend's gallery. i'd seen them before, but really really dug them this time. me and my friend floyd hung out with them and decided that we are now warbleaux(tm) aka their best groupies ever. this is when we took this action shot. after that, we followed up the cheap free wine with vodka and i got dance-on-the-tables-laugh-hysterically-high-school-girl drunk. it was a great night!! i thank the polka dotted dress because you have no choice but to have fun in it! I was lucky enough to receive a sneak preview tour of Akron's new art museum.
This building is 4 years in the making.
Perhaps the weirdest thing about the architecture is that the space ace part is actually connected to that old red brick building.
