They're still active: they have a myspace page with new tracks.

oh i see.  you frequent the myspaces without actually getting involved.  snob.

Yep.  I don't like personal pages, I'm not that interesting, and, furthermore, most people aren't that interesting either.  Besides, I already waste enough time on the net.

My girlfriend put up a facebook page, and she twisted my arm into making me start a page, but I only have a picture there, and I've never updated the damn thing.

Yeah, your's sucks almost as bad as mine.

Your picture is even more disturbing.

That was taken shortly after my "brain problem".  I was pretending I had severe brain damage.

Ghost Rider was much worse than I imagined it would be - and I imagined it would be pretty bad.

I felt the same way.

Your worst fantasies can't prepare you for how bad the movie is.

Please compare to Batman & Robin.

I actually never saw Batman & Robin.

I have thought about it now and...this Deerhoof album sucks.

I am beginning to realize that a lot of their stuff is weak. They are skewing song structure, but if you de-skewed them, they would be pretty  lame songs to begin with and thus the skewing becomes more or less a cover for the fact that they are not the most talented song-writers in the world.

Needs more bursts of inspiration within the deconstruction explosion.

I've only heard The Runners Four and Friend Opportunity but I still dig 'em. And they're fun live... especially when you see 'em, severely hungover, in an abandoned pool in Brooklyn and have no place to stay that night, then run into Tom Caw and all's semi-right with the world.

So, basically, I can't help but like Deerhoof.  Cheesy

Because I don't have my own life to post about, here's a bit of a missive from my lesbo friend Foster, who is on tour with the Stones (apparently Mick never shows up to anything, though of course, Keef does, so I guess this was quite the surprise):

We had a crew party at this beach in Budva. Far too much wine and too much dancing... Mick showed up for a bit to give his condolences to the crew members who knew the guy who died in Madrid. (If you haven't heard about it, a steel climber on our crew died during load out, along with two local guys. The wrong pin was taken out and a beam. it fell, taking his harness with it, well and him. It was pretty sad.)

Anyway, so my lfriend Glen, AKA Glenda, was in full form.  He had an apron on with a life-sized naked boy on the front, (making him look naked) and a yellow hard hat, and was dancing on the bar to Dancing Queen. Well that of course is the moment Mick walks in.  He looked up and said "is that my chef?"  It really was funny. Glenda felt a bit like an ass but Mick thought it was really funny.

I wish I was on tour with the Stones right now. Except for people dying, it's prolly pretty fun.

I found Chuck Luter on myspace. That's pretty cool. He let me live in his house whenever I was without a place to live. Probably like 3 different times. Looking back, he was probably the only thing that stood in the way of me becoming a Memphis street person. If I were a believer, I'd say God bless him. I guess I could say may good fortune come his way, but that sounds even dumber.

You see, I was trying to be decisive, but immediately after writing that I renewed the disc (along with the Arcade Fire)...because I haven't made a final cawl.

Although, I again listening to Los Lobos.

Oh, and last night, by chance, I was instructed to pick up Shooter, which I then watched with Crappity approval. Not bad for its type. Better than that Bruckheimer/Bay/Scott-stuff, but not much different.

Still, not as offensive.

Then I spent several hours 11:30 PM - 3:00 AM in the ER with my mother who was experiencing chest pain.
