I'm feeling gloomy.
Other than that-
It's Saturday. I'm lamely missing a semi-relative's wedding. There's a hole in my roof where the rain gets in that's gonna cost a fortune to fix on account of the fact that I'm gonna have to get a whole new roof. My dog's mouth is being eaten away by cancer, and it's probably a matter of weeks before I have to have her put down (put down - let's just call it what it is - mercy killing). I have to go to this damned 3 day conference tomorrow and be around a bunch of annoying crucifix-adorned adult ed teachers who I'll be required to spend time with.

sorry to here about your dog...our cat's sister, who our friend got for her kids for christmas just dropped dead last night...only 7 months old.
Can you put a skylight in the the roof where the hole is? That would be cheaper than getting a whole new roof...unless it needs a whole roof...can you say it was hail and use your home owners?
was watching talledega nights last night again...did will base his character on Bush? Because at times i could totally here him saying stuff that ricky bobby would say.
later all.

Jer and I are heading down to do some hiking and camping in the Adirondacks this Sunday and Monday. Anyone who feels like dropping by a scaring the piss out of me by leaving rocks outside my tent or even breaking twigs in the night is invited to do so.
(seriously, Blair Witch fucked up my relationship with the woods. Watching it repeatedly while stoned was probably not a great idea)
Maybe I will take pictures of our gay hike.

I already had that saved, but I haven't watched it in a while. Man, I wish I was in Devo.
Garald's songs were so great.

also, steve miller live =booooooriiiiing. i got my wish that he "just play". which he did for about an hour. just jamming on old blues numbers. with some extra from a doobie brothers cover band playing the harmonica. he was the focus for that entire segment. oof. didn't run into sam, so no peyote. thank god. i would have had to strangle somebody if i were trippin during the tribute to our boys in uniform during "livin in the u.s.a" complete with american flags waving in unison on the twin jumbotrons. fly like an eagle was the opener, and was a 20+ minute jerkoff of varying levels of "jamminess". they didn't get back to any hits until the last couple songs. (serenade-best part of the evening, and the joker) then came back for a hits-packed "encore" set, which included every other song you know by them, except for space cowboy, which they omitted. was surprised that during the "blues-jam" segment they played 'crossroads', which he totally ripped off for the opening riff of big ol jet airliner. i actually thought he was gonna use it as a segway into, but we didn't get that until the "encore". i half expected him to play "all right now" since he similarly ripped off that opening riff for "rock'n me"
Schlock-rock. Told ya!

I've recently watched a Live in Japan DVD done a few years ago. I thought that it would be kind of boring because, you know, they're old! Wrong, it was quite good. During Mongoloid, Mark Mothersbaugh goes around with cheerleader pom-poms accentuating the chorus, and whenever they sing "he brought home the bacon", he grabs his crotch and makes a tent, Sir Throblington style. Classy!

Jesus Christ on a dinosaur, did this post always read this way? If so, I somehow missed it entirely and failed to reflect on how shitty that is.
Sorry Moe.
