I forgot to tell you the plan for this Saturday. You, me, bar, beers, buzzed. Wings, shots, drunk! Waitresses - hot! Football, Cornell-Hofstra, slaughter! Then quick nap at my place, then we hit the tizzown.

It was an all right plan until you said football.

look at miller's bio man...the guy's been jamming since the sixties with people like muddy waters, paul mcCartney...toured with the dead and hendrix.

what's wrong with that...

yeah!!  eat that!

just kidding..    although in defense of the schlock rock comment,  i will say that i've never owned any Poison records,  just thought it would be a fun "schlock"-filled evening,  and it was! Cheesy    as far as steve miller goes,  i do have a few steve miller records,  most of them as the steve miller blues band,  and those are really k__'s. i like most of his music, though the psudo-psychedelia stuff was a bit post-donovan hokey.  he's pretty fuckin talented, though.  best when he's just playin.  which i'm hoping is what the live experience is all about.  whatever.  i'm takin the lady to one of her childhood favorites.  it should be fun.  so nyah.

true fine love is indeed a steve miller song.  i know its on the greatest hits album, but i'm not sure when it was originally released.  i think it's a little later in his catalog, like say, between the joker and abracadabra. i like the late 60s-early 70s stuff best.  he became a bit too radio oriented with his songwriting in the late 70s-80s.

I always liked Big Ol' Jet Airliner. Always hated that Livin' in the U.S.A. song. I think I may have liked Take The Money And Run when I was a kid.

Sippin On Some Syrup

Sizzurp

The original formula:

Promethazine w/Codeine syrup
Any fruit flavored soda
A jolly rancher

Put it all in a styrofoam cup and enjoy. The codeine is mainly responsible for the euphoria felt after drinking sizzurp. Promethazine causes motor skill impairment, lethargy, and extreme drowsiness. If it doesn't have promethazine, it ain't real sizzurp.

DXM is not a component of sizzurp, although it may produce vaguely similar effects to the above recipe in doses ranging from 150 - 250 mg.
