Jam was cut short by the abrupt stop of my bass drum pedal. Thought it was a routine slip of the screws or the spring popped or the beater flew off ...but no, I squinted in the darkness and beater head was buried in the skin (right through the masking tape) and the skin was split right to the rim.
Damnit.
This will actually be the first time I will have changed that head.
Yeah, that is my exciting tale.
I actually had a more interesting story on Thursday. but after I wrote it all out, I lost it when the page jammed up.
