exactly why i have issues with life-sustaining machines in most cases,  transplants in cases with low recovery rates, which usually end up with a donor who has a lifetime of otherwise unneccesary medical problems, and similar cases of false hope.  i'm sure if it was my daughter or something, i would struggle with my convictions about these sort of things, and my good friend j.d. is living of someone else's kidney, and i am glad for it,  but really. we are not supposed to live forever.  sometime's we need to accept nature's natural selection as it were, as awful as that may sound.  and the pope thinks contraception is a bad idea.
