Actually, I've decided to play hookey today. Is that spelled right?

last night I noticed some movement on our back porch and lo and behold it was a whole family of raccoons on our back porch climbing up our big tree. It was very cute.

hopefully they won't attack Ned.

raccoons can be pretty pestilicious. my parents (mom and stepdad) had a family move into their attic.  mean motherfuckers.  but super cute.   don't leave no food product out of doors.  and keep that garbage lid tight.  that "great outdoors" shit ain't no joke.  i think "hookey" is right.   i'll google a "little rascals" script to find out for sure.  i think that word was used in every cotton pickin episode.

I'm hoping the raccoons will stay mobile since there're a bunch of cats around all the time.

hmmm. seems we're not the only one's unsure of the spelling.  check out the 1st episode of 1928, the 1st episode of 1933, and the next to last episode of 1936.  discrepancies abound.

Tripp, be super careful letting the kitties out with the raccoons out there. My parents cat was killed last summer by raccoons...........it was awful.

Saw a jet black squirrel this morning.  We usually get one per year in our neighborhood.  They are super killer looking.   All matrix style.

to my fellow space-nerds, the full Voyager movie is now YouTubified for your ribbed pleasure:

My alma mater Kent State is somewhat famous for having tons of black squirrels...and no brown squirrels.

They're sort of aggressive apparently, and they chased all the brown ones away.

They're pretty cool though because they'll let you get pretty close to them before they'll run away.
