Maybe your birthday be so crazy...but not cho crazy.

Just checking out the NBC pixs...you gotta love how the way NBC had to put their logo on every picture so any news agency that uses them has to have the NBC logo on them.

My sister just put together a "care page" website for my nephew (through the hospital type people) with daily updates about his chemo/steroid treatments, and with photos and a message board. It's really depressing. Nobody that small should be that sick. It's really really upsetting and I'm now feeling major guilt for being so self-absorbed here. Man...

Just so's you all know, the treatment is going well so far. Still, the kid takes a beating with his meds (far more punishment than I think I could handle) and it breaks my heart every single day.

Apparently the fuck-head shooter sent a package to NBC news that they just got today. it has videos and his 'writings'.

That goes to show that one of the reasons that pushes these cretins to do such things is becoming famous.  And the media, of course, play right into it!

Lets do an expereiment: why don't they get all together and decide that, from now on, the names of the fucktards who do these things doesn't get published?   Like in "dimwit student with issues kills a bunch of people".  No names, no "manifestos", just the location and number of dead.   I wonder what would happen?

I've never owned a gun, and I don't want to start.

As I said yesterday (it got erased):

I just don't like "gun culture".  I don't like the whole "me vs. them" aspects of it, the paranoia that it entails and the fear of others that is implied in it.  I don't like the ultra-individualism of it, and the appeal to the worst parts of human psyche that goes with it.   I would like to live in a safer, less aggressive, less competitive, more egalitarian world, and I really don't see how having everyone going around armed is going to help achieve that.   I like watching westerns, but that doesn't mean I want to live in one.

Yup, that's the integral of the Monty Python's Flying Circus TV series on DVD, 16 discs of it!

I know, I'm a huge nerd.  I don't care, I'm happy this way.
