Okay. Here's my most painful moment (physical):
I bumped into one of those big restaurant coffee urns while working as a bus boy. It got caught up in my apron or something and dumped the whole thing down my back.
2nd degree burns on my lower back and the top of my ass.
I kept going in and out of shock on the way to the emergency room. The pain would just build up until it was unendurable...and then my body would just start shivering and sweating and I'd get a momentary relief from the pain. It would come and go like that in waves. Mostly pain though.
I had to go to the burn treatment center every day for a month. Every day they'd scrub my burn clean. Felt like they were using steel wool.
Even now I can remember what it felt like.
