Well, projections are saying a liberal (centre right) win: minority government.  What really surprises me is that it seems the ADQ (a populist party without a real platform, essentially a head piece for their leader, a right wing dickhead) won more votes than the PQ (pro-independence centre left).  So we have a right wing government with a harder right wing party holding the balance of power.  Nice job, fellow Quebecers!  

Well, you know, you're rarely disappointed if you just assume that most people are idiots... I think I can expect my university tuition to go sharply up in the next few years.  

I am very surprised by the ADQ myself...I knew they were going to split the PQ vote and create a weak Lib/PQ/ADQ triumverate of shitty parties, but I had no idea that more people were going to vote ADQ in these numbers...I thought that most people saw them as a joke?

Never underestimate people's stupidity.  Folks keep complaining about the politicians they elect... But they get the politicians they deserve.
