My options:

Parti Québécois is rife with problems is in deep shit...whether this is because of the fact that the party helped worsen the hospital situation, has moved nowhere on their longstanding separatist agenda (which I find has an ugly, petty face - not because its separatist, but because much of the support is xenophobic, etc., despite the party allowing for a somewhat loosey goosey province, it is decidedly Right Wing) or the fact that their current leader is a queer and cokehead...(which does not "jive" with much of the "rural Quebec values" that provide much of the base for the PQ out outside of Montreal).

Liberals. Short version: shit. Right Wing.

Action Démocratique du Québec sound like fascists. Fuck them. I never liked Mario Dumont. [Dan, did you say you voting for these guys???]. Ultra Right Wing.

uh, Green - I voted Green the last provincial election and I have a feeling I may as well be voting for Tarquin Biscuitbarrel. I simply get no feeling whatsoever that an actual party exists. I'm not sure they even have offices. Let's call them Left Wing. Or Environmentalists.

Québec Solidaire - Also 'separatist', but trying to put a less-hostile face on it. First and foremost they are floating the socialist, activist, feminist, green, inclusive, anti-neoliberalist vibe. The party is only a year old.

I am thinking either Green of Solidaire...or spoliing my ballot.

On reflection: I suppose Dan would not be voting ADQ, but QS.

our experience when shopping for a home was that everything in Midtown was way overpriced. Overpriced in that the houses all need work. LOTS of work. Which sucks cause I really wanted to stay in midtown. the neighborhood between where we live now and Chickasaw is a pretty good place to look. Between Poplar and Southern and between Highland and the Pink Palace. That, to me, seemed to be the best value.
I didn't want to move east of highland but we're JUST east of highland and it was one of the few houses that was actually worth what they were asking.

Oh gosh, I know..........Midtown is way overpriced. I've just been casually looking everywhere and I really don't want to move any further east than where you guys are. I am just dying to get a nice yard for Max........

There are some cute houses on my parents street, Reese, but I don't really want to live across the street from them............is that horrible to say?? hahaha I love my parents but that is just a little too close

We have enough opinions about American politics...what say you about the upcoming Quebec Provincial Election, ye throng?

must admit that i'm totally ignorant of most canadian politics, or the political history of the parties.  and since they don't televise your debates down here, it's hard to form an opinion.  i did read this article to see if it gave any insight but it really just makes the libs and pq seem pretty clumsy and incompetent.  lots of promises, no action, and the adq fairly vicious.  i would probably not vote for any of these 3 dudes, based on this article.  i also have no idea how slanted canadian journalsm is, so the accuracy of this article is also in question.    soo, what do YOU think?  i would think that a green party platform would make great sense in quebec.  i voted for nader in 2000, although  i realized at the time that we, as a country are years away from a "green" government being  a practical reality. you guys are much closer, i think. i was really hoping that he would get enough votes to secure government funding for the 04 elections.  didn't happen.  also, i thought he was the only candidate who actually believed what he was saying.

Y'all can shut up about the proximity of your parents. I spoke to my father about fifty seconds ago, in person and he is wearing a dark blue, striped house coat which is open and exposing his huge belly and his worn out tighty-whities. Lips Sealed

I am 28...even if I actually had a girlfriend, my parent's bedroom door is literally (really this time) six feet from mine.

Look, I just snapped this from my desk:

The pink door with the long mirror on it is their's.

(punges long shears deep into chest)

Okay, the shears thing is a tad drastic, but I need to move out again ASAP.
