Speaking of remakes (sorta), the rumour is that Ron Howard is remaking Cache (for Americans!). WTF? Does Cache need to be remade? And by Ron Howard?

WTF?!!!

So it was my friend Isabel's last day at work yesterday, so that's why I was so bummed last night (she's the one who got me the job and we definitely made it more tolerable for one another). Today I had to endure her replacement -- 22-year-old dude (I know, normally, I'd be totally into that) who is like a personality black hole. I'm officially back to hating my job.

Eyes down, do the work, don't have any fun...

(sigh)

has anybody seen 300 yet?  i don't really plan on it, but sometimes thgose action movies are surprisingly good.

I saw the trailer: I was really turned off.  It's a great story, and the entire campaign is one of the best things about Herodotus "The Histories", but I got entirely turned off by the historical inaccuracies.  Herodutus describes Spartans in great detail, and those folks in the movie do not look like Spartans.  Another good idea ruined by Hollywood... In other words, crappy peplum bullshit that, because of too much cgi, doesn't even have the charm of the old crappy peplums.
