See? What a terrible post that was. I blame it on being 3:33 AM.

Really.

Evan's probably en route to Amsterdam now, but...

...OMG, no wonder S____ was crying the whole ceremony. Those vows are truly beautiful. He's clearly in love with who S___ is, which makes my heart hurt so much I can't even stand it. And such honest, personal words -- not cookie cutter crap -- and I agree that Ev deserves credit for not only writing such lovely words but for overcoming all the fears and actually saying/posting them.

But most importantly, meaning them.

That blows me away...

I can't imagine anyone ever saying those things about me. Which also breaks my heart, and is probably also why I'm still weepy over those vows all these minutes after reading them.

Sigh.

I'm such a suck.

enjoy the tax break and the insurance discount, moetown.  remember--marrying a woman doesn't mean you aren't gay.

You should know, right?

It's a joke, so please disregard any possible homophobic undertones.

It sure felt like a was making a life commitment. But, I actually feel good about it. She's a very special woman whose kindness and caring seem to have no limits. Her life is devoted to advocating for severely disabled children. She really is a fucking saint. I don't really know what she sees in me, but I'm damned lucky she sees it.

I guess those pills weren't placebos. I wish i could remember what they were.

oh my god.. i'm fucking getting teary eyed over here.  really.  that is awesome.

I'm fucked up enough to post my vows:

I know it's a cliche, but life really is so crazy. When I left Fort Worth in 1987, I never thought I'd voluntarily move back here, but obviously I did. I remember when we first met again. It was sometime just before the new milleneum. I remember feeling the warmth you exuded toward everyone around you, and that quality of love and caring that always light up your eyes. At that time, I harbored a secret desire to be the number one special recipient of that warmth and the principal target of your eyes. At that time, I never could have imagined that in 2007, we'd be getting married.

Sara, the 6 years we've been together have been the most wonderful six yearsof my life. They've been so wonderful, that it makes me want to spend the rest of my life with you.

The ring I place on your finger represents my promise to cultivate and nurture the beautiful love we already share.
It represents my promise to forever be your ally, your greatest friend, and to love you until the day I die and forever after if that situation presents itself as a possibility. Sara, I love you so much.

holy shit.  i've just been reduced to little puddles.
