Not that anyone cares, but the new Kristin Hersh album is brilliant.

What do you think of the 50 Foot Wave stuff?

It's hard for me to get into but something I am dying to see live. It can be pretty http://www.youtube.com/v/uQFgq6WVUyo, but mostly I think it's something to seen live. I don't know why it's been so hard for me to get into. Because it's a conscious throwback to altrock http://www.youtube.com/v/-51Ays7eTcY?

I don't really have a good answer for this because I have only listened to it so many times (I am still living off of downloads at this point).

I am still in love with Kristin Hersh though.

Well, if they come to Montreal, I'm there. Keep me posted!

It's an AMAZING leather Kate Spade bag. No, it's just a purse. I know, $345.00 for a purse is CRAZY but that is what these damn things go for. Thank goodness I found a great deal......I couldn't justify $345.00 for a purse.....

Do you know that there are people dying of starvation in Africa?

And whomever put "Nattering, nattering" on my custom title, well, in the immortal words of Sidney Smith, you deserve to be preached to death by wild curates.

Well, sitting in front of a blank or blue screen set to channel three after the DVD or video has ended. I don't generally watch television.

Imagine dying in from of one of those motherfucking DVDs whose intro/menu screen loops every nine seconds? Can't stand 'em. In fact, they seem awful enough to make rotting in a chair for than a year even worse.

Somehow.

I'll be lucky to be a septuagenarian.

There is a ganesha song title somewhere that refers to the Christmas lights of a Wolfgang Dircks. That story was bleak enough to stay with me that I felt I had to reflect upon this one.

I had to go to a wedding shower last night for some friends of ours (S_ _ _'s). For some reason my sister offered to host it even though she's not very tight with the couple. I'm one of those people who get major party anxiety. Going to a party is one of the most difficult socially-oriented tasks I ever have to manage. We're talking major party phobia.

But I figured that since the groom-to-be is in a rock band, that there might be some drugs going around - I always totally stereotype band dudes - plus, S_ _ _ was one of the people throwing the party, so I couldn't get out of going.

The party was pretty flat at first. Mostly people standing around pretending to be comfortable. I got a punk rock mix out of my car, people started doing shots of the Buffalo Trace I'd brought for myself, and the party definitely picked up. My mom lives nextdoor to my sis, so almost everybody at the party ended up with me in her backhouse smoking her stuff through her homemade bong. Some chick says, "My husband's a cop, so we won't get busted."
"Is he at the party?"
"Yeah, he's the guy wearing The Police shirt and the big star on his jacket. Don't worry. He won't do anything. I have my own stash at home." (About 20 min. earlier, I'd announced to the party that it was ok to smoke weed and do drugs. The only rule being that if they did, they had to share with me.)

Anway, I ended up creeping over to my mom's house and crashing on her couch at around 11. S_ _ _ woke me up at around 2 to go home. So I lasted around 3 hours at the bash, and while I was there, I definitely felt like the life of the party.
